A Love for Helping People
I find the most rewarding aspect of being a dentist is being able to make positive, healthy changes in my patients’ lives. I strive to establish and develop open, direct communication with each of my patients: I need them to feel comfortable telling me about their dental concerns and goals. I also need them to trust me and understand that I want to assist them in achieving those goals.
I am passionate about oral health: a healthy mouth leads to a healthier body. It also improves a person’s self-esteem, as a beautiful smile helps a person feel more confident in their appearance. As a dentist, I spend my days offering compassionate, gentle treatments that help improve the physical and emotional lives of people I care about.
Dentistry is truly my calling. Every day, I strive to further my skills and expand my knowledge. I love working with my hands and the artistry called for when improving a person’s smile. Best of all, I meet amazing people, spend time with them, and develop ongoing relationships that make us both smile. I love what I do.
Education and Commitment to Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, Central Michigan University, 2003
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery, University of Detroit Mercy, 2008
I am committed to constantly expanding my knowledge of dentistry and honing my skills as a practitioner. Whether I’m participating in an online course, reading a dental journal in bed, or traveling to a national conference, I’m always seeking more information.
I’m involved with the Jackson Study Club and the Jackson District Dental Society, both of which provide me access to information about new technology, treatments, and dental materials. I choose to participate in continuing education for my patients, who benefit from having access to the most current care options.
